The WAM-4 class has been phased out from mainline service long ago but technically, they still exist ! The WAG-5 class was born out of the WAM-4 class by changing the gear ratio & most of the remaining configurations were the same.In frame: Waltair (WAT/VSKP) WAG 5 # 23377 in maroon-blue attire proceeds for reversal towards trip shed after finishing its duty with 08503 Raygada - Vishakapatnam Passenger. I boarded Visakhapatnam Bhubaneswar Vande Bharat with Platform ticket. Went to drop by brother travelling to Vijayanagaram. Distance 60km Fare Rs 435 ( catering charge Rs 35) way expensive. When you give halts every 60km and want people to board the train the min fare km and fares should also be kept low. I think min fare km in ACC is 125km. They should change fare structure of ACC class from 50km upto 200km to be competitive with road sector for Normal trains and VB. AC buses charge Rs 2-3 perkm depending on route and bus type.
