The new stadium will accommodate 1.1 lakh cricket fans, overtaking current record-holder Melbourne Cricket Ground with a capacity of little over a lakh. The stadium will be less than 5 km away from Sabarmati #HSR Station, making it easily accessible to all the cricket fans.

For your information, the old Motera stadium is being reconstructed. It's not a new stadium from ZERO.
The old Stadium was demolished and now work is in full swing for reconstruction with higher seating capacity.
