The Amritsar-Katihar Express, operating from December 28th to 31st, will run on an altered route via Gorakhpur-Paniyawa-Narkatiaganj-Muzaffarpur. The Katihar-Amritsar Express, operating from December 28th to 31st, will also run on the same route. The Bhagalpur-Jammu Tawi Express, operating on December 28th and January 4th, and the Barauni-Jammu Tawi Express, operating on December 31st, will operate on the route via Muzaffarpur-Narkatiaganj-Paniyawa-Gorakhpur. The 15010 Mailani-Gorakhpur Express, operating from December 26th to January 9th, will operate from Aishbagh instead of Lucknow Junction. The New Tinsukia-Amritsar Express, operating on December 26th, will run on an altered route via New Bangaigaon-Goalpara Town-Kamakhya due to doubling works between Changsari and Agiathri stations on the Northeast Frontier Railway. The Guwahati-Jammu Tawi Express, operating on December 25th, and the Dibrugarh-Avadh Assam Express, operating on December 26th, will run on an altered route via Kamakhya-Goalpara Town-New Bangaigaon. The Dibrugarh-Chandigarh Express will also run on the same route on December 25th.

due to a block on platform 2 at Lucknow Junction under the Lucknow division, Train No. 15009 Gorakhpur-Mailani Express running from Gorakhpur from 25 December to 8 January will be cancelled between Aishbagh-Lucknow Junction. Similarly, Train No. 15010 Mailani-Gorakhpur Express running from Mailani from 26 December to 9 January will be cancelled between Lucknow Junction-Aishbagh.

However, this week, the Express train has been arriving late. On Thursday, it reached Lakhimpur at 11:34 AM, about 1 hour and 15 minutes delayed. To accommodate the Express, the passenger train coming from Lucknow was held at Hargaon station, resulting in a 40-minute delay for the passenger train. These delays caused inconvenience for daily commuters and office workers, forcing some to resort to buses and private vehicles to reach their workplaces on time.
