Pollachi-Palakkad section was recently opened for passenger traffic aftr gauge conversion and at present PGTN-POY-PLNI section are inadequate in infrastructure and yet to be developed. Re introduction of trains will be examined keeping in view operational feasibility and requirement

Even I too requested the railways to operate more trains in PGTN - POY - PLNI section in the grievances portal. I too got the same reply which you got it.
Crores and crores of rupees are spent on PGTN - POY - PLNI broad gauge conversion, but it's very sad that this route is underutilized and even the existing trains are operated only as specials.

Clearly shows SR is not having any interest. It is just reintro of train, not new train. But this is the attitude of SR
not reintroducing old trains after GC is an unfortunate trend in IR. SWR for instance is replete with loads of examples where after GC many trains on VSG-LD-MRJ route never came back, despite more infrastructure and more loading/carrying capacity being available.
Then better they could have used this funds for electrifying CLT MAJN , at least one project would have been completed fully .now both are hanging in half way .
Exactly after spending crores of rs. Track is being used only for running few passenger special. Pgtn poy, poy palani. There is nothing beyond that.
