After this massive terrible train accident of Coromandel Express even with LHB coaches
I hope SCR even now wake up and make Falaknuma LHB ASAP
I didn't understand the fact that it was the first train from SCR proposed to get LHB conversion ; but even Visakha which proposed after Falaknuma got lhbfied

It's

People have had long discussions on this topic regarding this train because SCR just neglected it in terms of maintenance. It's RSA partner also used to get neglected in the process. Discussions of transferring PM to SRC were also made but some people also did site trains like 18048 which till today have horrible maintenance. The train does travel through Orissa,AP and Karnataka so it does get dirty. I think this is a major issue for trains bound from HWH towards South. Onboard maintenance should be done otherwise people keep assuming that maintenance at origin is not upto mark. Many people in South have that idea of North originating trains like Sanghamitra, Raptisagar, Coro, Dhanbad etc that they are just not well maintained trains. Dhanbad ALLP just becomes horrible by the time it reaches AP. I wish Falcon maintenance was transferred to SER but there is too much skepticism of SER...

with maintenance right now. I don't think SCR will accept as well. Also since it has RSA with a train bound to AP i.e Simhapuri SF, maintenance cannot be compromised. Granted there are shortcomings but folks here won't accept if trains runs ill maintained.

Absolutely correct, even 18030 is running on its worst condition. Anything might happen in in future.
Even one more problem is that, due to lack of pit lines, due to which SER currently wont be able to manage 12703. Only TT is matching for SER.

I wonder why there is a lack of pit lines in Kolkata. Probably many trains have huge time dedicated to PM here. They should think about transferring some South bound trains to ER maintenance to ease the load from SER. Amaravati has around 22 hours PM in PDPK or SRC. Same with East Coast, Gitanjali, HWH SMVB SF and a few other trains(huge PM time allotted). While SMVB HWH should be reverted to it's previous TT(2 nights 1 day). They should be managed with RSA to reduce standing time in pit lines. Falcon can depart late night from SC and around 2130 arrival at HWH but SCR won't do it because they might have to manage OT of SC VSKP duronto, SER has to allot time for PURI HWH Vande Bharat OT as well.

ER only has to manage its own trains like Poorva, Rajdhani, Duronto, and many trains on patna, malda, njp route. ER always wanted it to be separate. And in HWH old Complex is controlled by ER, I think there is no direct line for south line and trains needed to be diverted via long route. Well you are absolutely correct about maintenance time. Around 20 hrs time is given to most of the trains you have mentioned. And if its rsa is done, can be managed very appropriately. Howrah Puri Express can easily have rsa with any of the trains you have mentioned.

Yes that's true. East Coast had RSA with Howrah Hatia, why not resume that as well? HWH PURI can have RSA with Gitanjali.

But Kavach is necessary now due to adopting lastest technologies.

We cannot ask LP and ALPs to keeping eyes on upcoming signals actively all the time.

When train is running at 160kmph, it

takes hardly 10 seconds to cover 0.5KM and a little bit distraction can cause a severe incident.

More then that speed of trains cannot be increased to 180 or 200 without Cab signalling and that is possible only with Kavach

Even First AC coaches are not safe anymore.

In many trains, First AC coach remaining adjacent to UR coach and in day time, vendors keep the passage open resulting UR coach passengers keep using toilets, washroom of First AC coach

Most of our main routes need a train with regular coach composition with ample non AC coaches. And a fully AC clone closely following the original train.

Of course feasibility should be taken care of, and fare chart should be rational. But I think most of the trains can have their clones fully filled, even if they're completely AC.

In recent days I've seen unhealthy obsession of members with trains and stations.

For example the Vikramshila guy, he left the site over a stoppage rumor. The Malda guy, he's inconsolable after Farakka went to BLGT. The Ara, Patna and Sasaram guys, they think people are jealous of a city they probably won't even visit. The Kakinada and Khammam guys, they went on abusing other cities. Or the anti Vande Bharat guy, leaving no stone unturned to create controversy.
...

At the end of the day, trains are just a transport medium. They'll get extended if railways sees the feasibility or even if strong politics is involved.

Trains aren't some status symbol, regular people don't even care if they're sitting in some random special or a named train as long as it takes them to their destinations.

You can get a thousand trains, or maybe get none e.g. Rajgir area, but will that change what the city has to offer? Or what is the potential of that city? Or what are the living standards of people in that city? No.

As I've commented earlier, trains aren't life. Being a fan is okay, but making them a matter of life or ego is equally bad.

Hope people understand this and indulge in constructive discussions. Many older members have already left this site, due to the undue politics and controversies. If that keeps happening all that will remain is a fish market with no knowledgeable source in sight.

Aptly put. You can expect something from people who are willing to learn. Nothing can be expected from someone who thinks their word is the word of Gods. Ignorance is an idiot's tool.

This is what's ought to happen when people don't have a mind of their own. The whole country now acts like the spokesperson of one political party or other. No one seems to have a free will anymore. Utter dystopia.
