So guys the 13424 ticket (/pnr/post/6052712)didn't confirm even after applying HO quota it remained RLWL1, now only hopes left with 13240 ticket (/pnr/post/6085225)
That was a expected one. Quite possible kota se HO allocation hogi hi nahi. Apply HO in 13240, usme easily apply ho jayegi
HO thaa KOTA se A1 31 aur 32, bat ho sakta ho koi aur bhi apply kiya ho, 13240 mai HO laga diye hai
Woh papa ke ek dost Kota DRM office mai hai, to wo ek PDF bhejethee usme har train mai no. of HO quota berths ka detail thaa jo KOTA se cross karti hai

Fair enough, I just checked trains between Prayagraj and Ayodhya Dham and none of them are actually on 'perfect time', so the one which is almost easy to catch on is Saryu Express, which is running full with AC CC and also there isn't UPSRTC Volvo running on this route as well, therefore I must agree people are choosing comfort over short distance running in this hot weather.
Now many may not agree but I think this VB is doing better than expected

Travelers in Pune Mumbai have all sorts of much more comfortable options for all price ranges available every 10 minutes- still that route fills up 5 Executive Chair Car Coaches on a Daily basis costing at least twice than the next best comfortable option.
People on this route want something similar on a waaaaay smaller scale....

Yeah! Honestly I'm just surprised that there isn't many good options for AC travellers between Prayagraj and Ayodhya, one train originates from Prayagraj at around 4-4:30 am and one reaches Ayodhya around 11-11:30 pm (timings are not exact, so don't quote me) so now I understand why someone might take a longer route train on this route.

Lucknow arrival time bhi weird hai. Patliputra se thoda late depart karwaye to 5 am tak Lucknow arrival possible hai.
This train only has 4 sleeping carriages [rest are chair cars or 2S or General] only, so making it an overnight journey would render the current coach composition infeasible. To make things complex, this thing has a RSA with Lucknow[Aishbagh]-Gorakhpur ICE which doesn't have this weird of timings. So, it's coach composition won't be changed most likely which makes proper night journey tough.
It would have been a SF when it was introduced, that's why the charges are still being levied, I think. Check 12531/2 , LJN-GKP ICE, that has an average speed even lower at ~49 kph but has SF surcharge. But when it was introduced, it was ~30 minutes faster than current day and it's avg back then did come out to be 55 kph.
