As you all know SWR has only 16.63% of it's route Electrified and much money is alloted for these in the annual budget
Which of the following route should be given most priority and Electrified as QUICKLY as possible

Ballari-Ryadurgam-CTA- JRU can be used for Eloco even if BAW-UBL not get RE like how GTL-BAY section using Eloco at present conditions.about Talguppa-Birur its not much of use until complete BAW-Birur Get RE

Trains can run with electric locos if Ballari - Chikjajur section is electrified and Chikkabanavara - Chikjajur section is not electrified as follows:
🔹57451/57452 - Chikjajur - Guntakal - Chikjajur Passenger: This train can with end to end electric loco (if it is not converted into DEMU)
🔹56909/56910 - KSR Bengaluru - Hosapete - KSR Bengaluru Passenger: Diesel loco from KSR Bengaluru to Chikjajur and electric loco from Chikjajur to Hosapete and vice versa

- Mysuru - Varanasi - Mysuru Express: Piggy backing must be done in Chikkabanavara - Chikjajur, Kalaburagi - Bhigwan and Katni - Satna sections. This means diesel loco must be attached in front of electric loco at Bengaluru, Wadi/Kalaburagi and Katni for this train. Diesel loco must be detached at Chikjajur, Daund and Satna. Loco Change from electric to electric can be done at Guntakal because of loco reversal to save time
🔹06223/06224 - Shivamogga Town - Renigunta - Shivamogga Town Special: Diesel loco from Shivamogga Town to Chikjajur and electric loco from Chikjajur to Renigunta and vice versa
🔹18111/18112 - Tatanagar - Yeswantpur - Tatanagar Express: Diesel loco from Yeswantpur to Chikjajur and electric loco from Chikjajur to Guntakal/Vijayawada
🔹82653/82654 - Yeswantpur - Jaipur - Yeswantpur Suvidha Express: Piggy backing must be done in Kalaburagi - Bhigwan and Nimach - Chittaurgarh sections. This means diesel loco must be attached in front of electric loco at Wadi/Kalaburagi and Nimach for this train. Diesel loco must be detached at Daund and Chittaurgarh. Loco Change from electric to electric can be done at Guntakal because of loco reversal to save time
🔹This means there will be Loco Change (LC) or diesel loco attachment/detachment process at Chikjajur. Chikjajur can handle this process because it was doing similar process when trains with slip coaches were running i.e., Hosapete/Hubballi - KSR Bengaluru Passenger and Chitradurga/Hubballi - KSR Bengaluru Passenger. But what about the delay and traffic block caused because of this process?
🔹Currently 16229/16230 & 18111/18112 doesn't have halt at Chikjajur
🔹57477/57478 - Tirupati - Kadiridevarapalli - Tirupati Passenger will not get electric loco soon because of following reasons:
▪️Electrification has not been completed in Dharmavaram - Kadiri - Madanapalle road - Pakala section
▪️Rayadurgam is not capable of handling LC (as of now) because it has only 2 platforms and a main line. In other words there is no place for parking locos

Piggybacking is not advisable for such a long distance from BAW to JRU as a single WAP-7 weighs approx of 3 ICF third AC coaches and will be more load for a single WDP-4D to haul for 266 kms as this section is full of steep gradients plus Gubbi Kardi section is a single line with numerous TSRs. This was the same reason why Karnataka got back diesel link from SBC to DD as it was like a single WDP-4D pulling 28 coach train as it took hell of a time to accelerate and reach mps. Yes if twin alcos are provided then piggybacking is possible but again the train will be too lengthier.

I said generally what can be done. If piggy backing cannot be done, then 16229/16230 and 82653/82654 will run with diesel loco from SBC/YPR to BSB/JP. That is why I said if BAW - JRU - DVG - UBL section is not electrified then it will not be of much use even if BAY - JRU section is electrified because only BAY and JRU are capable of doing LC in entire BAY - JRU section
